The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Punch throws a nice looking combination but Clifton bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Punch has been working on his boxing with his coaches at 3Band MMA in the buildup to the fight.
Punch lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Clifton circles away quickly and effectively.
Brady Punch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Punch smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Punch moves in looking to clinch but Clifton pushes him off.
Punch scores with a head kick. Clifton tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Clifton circles away from the clinch attempt.
Punch closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Clifton cracks Punch with a good jab.

It looks like Brady Punch has been cut.
Clifton showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Punch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Clifton tries to land a front kick but Punch steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Punch throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

A punch lands to the side of Clifton 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Punch fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Clifton, pushing him back against the ropes.

Clifton makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Punch wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Clifton blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Clifton works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Punch is breathing heavily.
Clifton lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Clifton creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Clifton cracks Punch with a big uppercut, right up the middle and Punch goes down! Oh, he's hurt! He's bigtime hurt! The referee is giving him a chance to get back to his feet - 4,5,6,7, no, he's called it off! Punch wasn't going to make it and the fight is over!
