Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gord Ryan (ranked 199 p4p, 439 weight class) and Taz FeoTeo (ranked 27 p4p, 62 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Taz FeoTeo was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gord Ryan!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Taz FeoTeo!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Saam Ante and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryan swings for the body but FeoTeo moves out of range.
Ryan swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ryan works FeoTeo's body with a nice hook.
Ryan throws a shot from downtown. FeoTeo moves away and avoids it.
Ryan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but FeoTeo manages to avoid it.
It seemed like FeoTeo was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
FeoTeo ducks under a wild hook from Ryan.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from FeoTeo! But no joy.
Ryan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ryan jabs FeoTeo right on the nose. FeoTeo blinks but takes it well.

FeoTeo unleashes a big counter combination but Ryan bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

and FeoTeo counters with a body kick that stops Ryan in his tracks momentarily.
Ryan throws a lazy right hand but FeoTeo sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
It seemed like FeoTeo was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
FeoTeo has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Ryan scores with a nice strike.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ryan throws a hook but FeoTeo avoids it easily.
A little jabbing left from FeoTeo on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Ryan feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits FeoTeos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Ryan lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Ryan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but FeoTeo moves away.

and FeoTeo counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

letting FeoTeo counter with a right hand.
It looks like Gord Ryan has been cut.

FeoTeo looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

and FeoTeo counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Ryan thinking.
Ryan scores with a hook to the body. FeoTeo takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Ryan swings away with a body shot that misses

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Gord Ryan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gord Ryan dominated that round.
