Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Orlando Sanguinetti (ranked 319 p4p, 523 weight class) and Kurki Potku (ranked 50 p4p, 85 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Orlando Sanguinetti!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kurki Potku!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Edson Gomes and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanguinetti misses with a jab to the body
and Potku counters with a good low kick that Sanguinetti was not able to check.
Potku tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sanguinetti swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Sanguinetti swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Sanguinetti takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Sanguinetti tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Potku jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Sanguinetti throwing a counter right hand but Potku manages to avoid it.

Potku closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sanguinetti to the mat! Sanguinetti manages to get full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Potku looking for subs off his back but Sanguinetti has passed one foot through into half guard.

Sanguinetti prevents Potku from improving his position.
Potku is still trying to improve position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Potku wants to control his opponent's hands but Sanguinetti gets his hands free.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Potku tries to escape but Sanguinetti has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

That was a close round but I would say that Orlando Sanguinetti will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Potku connects with a crisp jab.
Sanguinetti throws out a loose jab but Potku uses good head movement to avoid it.
Potku throws out a counter right but Sanguinetti avoids it with no problem.
Potku scores with a sloppy right hand. Sanguinetti should have avoided that one.

Potku drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Potku has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Potku goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Sanguinetti rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Potku's guard! Nice work there by Sanguinetti!

Potku escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sanguinetti gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Potku wants to improve his position but instead Sanguinetti has moved into half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Potku is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Sanguinetti pulls his head out easily.
Sanguinetti is taking a breather. Potku says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Potku feints and as Sanguinetti raises his hands in defense, Potku changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Potku stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sanguinetti swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Potku thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Potku trying to control the position from guard on top but Sanguinetti is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Potku is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Sanguinetti keeping moving, preventing Potku from controlling successfully.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Potku connects with a solid leg kick.
Potku throws a hook but Sanguinetti avoids it easily.

Potku closes the distance and clinches.
Potku scores with a shoulder strike.

It looks like Orlando Sanguinetti has been cut.
Potku is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Sanguinetti breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Potku connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Orlando Sanguinetti showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sanguinetti, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
