The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones is looking to clinch but Richard is avoiding it.
Jones throws a poor cross that misses

and Richard counters with a takedown into side control.
Jones can't do much from the bottom here.
Richard scores with punches from side control.

Richard definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Richard scores with a couple of short elbows.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones parries the strikes from Richard easily there. Richard is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Jones to escape.
Jones is trying to control Richard's posture but Richard avoids it.

Richard looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Richard is trying to get an arm triangle but Jones is defending well.
Jones tries to improve position but can't.
Jones is working to avoid the ground and pound but Richard connects with a decent elbow.

Richard goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Jones has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Richard but great work by Jones.

Richard tries to bench press Jones off him but Jones keeps the position.

Jones has an Americana. Richard didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Jones is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Jones hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
