Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bing Bang (ranked 2210 p4p, 2363 weight class) and Blonde Brunson (ranked 153 p4p, 161 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bing Bang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Blonde Brunson!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Yves DeLean and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Brunson or perhaps it was just good defense by Bang, which made it look bad.
Brunson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Bang connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Brunson scrambles back to his feet.

Brunson closes the distance and clinches.
Brunson looking for a takedown.
Brunson is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Bang gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Bing Bang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Blonde Brunson.
Brunson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Bang fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Brunson lands a two punch combo.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bang has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Bang is looking to take a break and control but Brunson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Brunson is not content to let Bang control the position.
Brunson felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Bang thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Bang creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Brunson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bang wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Bang is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Brunson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Bang is trying to move to mount but Brunson reverses beautifully and ends up in Bang's guard.
Brunson is in close to Bang's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Brunson passes into half guard.

Brunson is looking for a kimura but Bang is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Brunson to get the leverage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bang wants to improve his position but Brunson is controlling well.
Bang won't allow Brunson to pass to mount.
Bang wants to get back to full guard.
Bang moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Brunson throws a big right hand that misses.

Brunson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Bang looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Bang looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Bang!

Bang wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Brunson, who protects the arm well.
Brunson is looking to regain half guard here but Bang keeps moving and retains side control.
Brunson is trying to work for a sweep but Bang has mounted him!
Brunson is squirming around, avoiding Bang's attempts to control the action.
Brunson sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Brunson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Bang tries to pass to full mount but Brunson defends it.

Brunson regains full guard. Nicely done.

Brunson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Brunson is trying to control the position but Bang postures up.
Brunson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bang is one step ahead there.

Bang is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Brunson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bang.

Bang wants to control but Brunson is keeping him busy.

Brunson is pressing down on Bang's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Brunson has his foot on Bang's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bang works his way back into a safe position though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bang trying to control but Brunson is working from the bottom.
Bang working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Brunson's head.
Bang is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Brunson looking for a guillotine here but Bang defends easily.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Brunson is on top in guard.

Bang escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Brunson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Brunson is sitting in close to Bang's body. Bang has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Brunson is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Brunson is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Bang.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 9:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Bing Bang!
