Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Abdullah Zaire (ranked 1551 p4p, 1166 weight class) and Walter Payton (ranked 236 p4p, 181 weight class). Payton has chosen Andre Nickatina - Yeah as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Abdullah Zaire!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Walter Payton!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Steve Erwin and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zaire connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Payton uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Zaire has time to react.
Zaire tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Payton swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Payton misses with a wild combination.
Zaire misses with a takedown attempt
and Payton counters with a straight right hand.
Payton connects with a single shot there.
Zaire avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A nice leg kick from Payton, right into the meat of the thigh.

Payton drops Zaire with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Zaire looks back up at him and smiles so Payton waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Zaire is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Payton fakes the body blow, causing Zaire to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Zaire goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!

Walter Payton decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
