Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shams Charania (ranked 2599 p4p, 5024 weight class) and Alan Arnolds (ranked 206 p4p, 343 weight class). Arnolds is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Free and Easy - The Almighty. This should be fireworks!

The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Jorge Garcia and Joseph Jones.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Charania tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Arnolds paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Arnolds uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Arnolds connects with a single shot there.
Arnolds fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Charania on the side of the head.
Shams Charania seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Arnolds displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Charania.
Charania shoots in but no luck this time.
Charania tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Charania walks into a stiff left hand from Arnolds.
Charania throws a right and a left that Arnolds avoids nicely.
A jab from Arnolds finds it's way through Charania's defenses.

It looks like Shams Charania has been cut.
Charania takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Charania shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shams Charania. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The fight stays on the outside here - Charania looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Charania tries to close the distance and clinch but Arnolds swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Charania shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Arnolds but Arnolds pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Charania will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Arnolds appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.

Nice takedown defense from Arnolds. No joy for Charania on that attempt.
Charania is breathing heavily.
Charania shoots in looking for a takedown but Arnolds manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Charania's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Arnolds bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Charania's head backwards.
Charania gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Arnolds lands a slapping body shot.
Good standup being displayed there by Arnolds as he connects with a hook.

Charania is rocked!
Arnolds finds Charania's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Charania flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Arnolds lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Charania will be OK.
