Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jeffrey Tucker (ranked 2068 p4p, 3605 weight class) and Tim Bird (ranked 275 p4p, 424 weight class). Bird is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Dragula - Rob Zombie. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tucker throws a leg kick that misses.
Tucker scores with a nice strike.

Tucker was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Bird looks to land a left hand but Tucker moved out of range nicely.
Good exchange - Bird coming out on top.
Bird fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tucker manages to avoid it.

No joy there for Bird, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Bird looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Tucker ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bird moves away.
Tucker takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Tucker pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Bird back to the cage. Tucker follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Bird tries to land a front kick but Tucker steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Tucker was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

Tucker looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Bird dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Tucker. That did some damage!

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Bird lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Tucker has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Tucker and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

This has been an exciting period of action!

and Tucker connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Bird lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Tucker slips a straight right by Bird.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jeffrey Tucker will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Bird in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
