Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Mazepin (ranked 3474 p4p, 5352 weight class) and Jimmy Nickels (ranked 395 p4p, 501 weight class). Mazepin comes to the cage accompanied by boom. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nickels closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Mazepin tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Nickels wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Nickels moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Mazepin can't do much from the bottom here.
Mazepin takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
