Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Musa Vitalik (ranked 1104 p4p, 3907 weight class) and Mustafa McBeth (ranked 171 p4p, 464 weight class). Vitalik comes to the cage accompanied by Planet Purge - Midnight Tyrannosaurus & Ehide. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Musa Vitalik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mustafa McBeth!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Patrick Alders and Daniel Blasius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McBeth shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Vitalik scores with a hook to the body. McBeth takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Vitalik fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McBeth manages to avoid it.
McBeth looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Vitalik shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Vitalik showed some decent athleticism there.
Vitalik is keen to just control but McBeth is a slippery customer.

Mustafa McBeth is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Vitalik fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McBeth manages to avoid it.

McBeth goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Vitalik scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Vitalik tries to bum rush McBeth with a series of wild strikes but McBeth uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Musa Vitalik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Vitalik ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McBeth moves away.
McBeth lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Vitalik stalks McBeth and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into McBeth's face. McBeth staggers backwards, shaken.

Vitalik cracks McBeth with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

McBeth has Vitalik up against the cage in a clinch.
McBeth lands an elbow inside that Vitalik shrugs off.
McBeth tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Vitalik lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

A nice side step and McBeth releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

and McBeth connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McBeth has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from McBeth there as he acknowledges the shot.
Vitalik throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Vitalik is looking to wear down McBeth with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Vitalik dives in and scores a takedown into McBeth's guard.
McBeth is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Vitalik pushes down on McBeth's leg and manages to get into half guard.
McBeth is refusing to be controlled, as Vitalik sits in half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Vitalik's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Vitalik lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

McBeth drops his hands momentarily and Vitalik takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Mustafa McBeth is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Vitalik dives in for a single leg takedown but McBeth sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

McBeth is staying active underneath Vitalik, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Vitalik looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks McBeth with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Vitalik is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that McBeth can do to turn this around?
