Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Polish Power (ranked 1640 p4p, 2689 weight class) and Amadeo Thevenet (ranked 193 p4p, 315 weight class). Power comes to the cage accompanied by Xanadu by Ummet Ozcan. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Power throws an overhand right that lands on Thevenet's shoulder, as Thevenet tries to avoid the shot.

and Thevenet counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Power tries to clinch

and Thevenet decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Power's guard.

Power pushes Thevenet off and scrambles back to his feet.
Power throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Thevenet looks like he wants to counter punch here.

and Power takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Thevenet counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Power fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Thevenet manages to avoid it.

Power is looking to regain half guard here but Thevenet keeps moving and retains side control.
The ground and pound from Thevenet seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Thevenet postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Power tries to buck Thevenet off but Thevenet is having none of it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Thevenet works his foot free and advances to mount.
Thevenet postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Power looks a forlorn figure.
Thevenet lands a big shot there that rocks Power but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Power is desperately trying to improve his position but Thevenet has a good base and remains in mount.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Power holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Thevenet tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Power avoids a series of strikes thrown by Thevenet.

Power manages to work a leg through to get back to half guard here. Good work there by Power, under a barage of strikes from Thevenet.
Power regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Thevenet.

Thevenet trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Power manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

Power wants to control from the top but Thevenet keeps moving.
Thevenet is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Power's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Power wants to pass the guard but Thevenet is keeping the position.
Thevenet is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Thevenet throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Power is concentrating on defense, preventing Thevenet from advancing position.
Power is refusing to be controlled, as Thevenet sits in half guard.

Amadeo Thevenet dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Thevenet throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Power looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Power lands a big head kick that sends Thevenet tumbling to the mat! Power takes a step backwards and waves Thevenet back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Amadeo Thevenet has been cut.
Power throws a right hand that misses
and Thevenet cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Power cracks Thevenet on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Thevenet falls backwards against the cage. Power follows up with more strikes that drop Thevenet to his knees. Power keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Thevenet! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:17 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Polish Power!
A relieved looking Polish Power thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
