Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Noah Wells (ranked 1285 p4p, 1523 weight class) and Calico Reddick (ranked 195 p4p, 228 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Reddick's choice of entrance music: LXST CXNTURY. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Noah Wells!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Calico Reddick!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Colin Fray and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Reddick steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.

Wells fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Reddick manages to avoid it.

The fighters circling - Wells throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Reddick looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Wells misses with a hook to the body
and Reddick connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Reddick counters with a slapping leg kick.
Reddick lands a jab to the nose.
Reddick throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Wells holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Reddick fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Wells lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Reddick backwards.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Wells swings wildly with an uppercut but Reddick uses good head movement to avoid it.
Reddick's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

and Wells takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Reddick ducks under a wild hook from Wells.
Wells doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Noah Wells's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Reddick finds Wells's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Wells flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Reddick lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Wells will be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Calico Reddick!

An out of breath Calico Reddick thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
