PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Natsu Dragneel (ranked 401 p4p, 576 weight class) and Lou Valentine (ranked 61 p4p, 80 weight class). Dragneel comes into the arena with Come the Fire Dragon blaring out of the sound system. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 15 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lou Valentine!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dragneel bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Valentine misses with a left hand
enabling Dragneel to counter with a crisp jab.
Dragneel throws a shot from downtown. Valentine moves away and avoids it.
Valentine is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Dragneel throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dragneel cracks Valentine with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Dragneel comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Dragneel feints a jab promting Valentine to slip. Dragneel then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Valentine slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Dragneel throws a front kick aimed at Valentine's knee but Valentine avoids it well.

Dragneel rushes Valentine with punches - Valentine moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Valentine goes down! Dragneel follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

A relieved looking Natsu Dragneel thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
