And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joshua Miller!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Bruno Lombardi and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simonsgaurd slips a jab and a cross from Miller.
Simonsgaurd takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Simonsgaurd throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Miller throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Simonsgaurd went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
A jab from Miller finds it's way through Simonsgaurd's defenses.
Miller ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Simonsgaurd tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Miller connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Simonsgaurd tries to move into range but Miller moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Miller connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Simonsgaurd has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Jungle Room in the buildup to the fight.
Simonsgaurd walks into a stiff left hand from Miller.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Miller lands a jab-cross combination.

Simonsgaurd tries to clinch up but Miller circles away and keeps his distance.
Miller throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Simonsgaurd sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Miller throws a lazy right hand but Simonsgaurd sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Simonsgaurd is looking to clinch.
Simonsgaurd tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
A countering left hand to the body from Miller misses.

Simonsgaurd instigates a clinch.
Simonsgaurd throws an elbow that misses.
Simonsgaurd misses with some punches.
Miller has had enough of the clinch but Simonsgaurd keeps him there for the moment.
Simonsgaurd blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Simonsgaurd blocks a body shot from Miller.

Miller breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Miller catches Simonsgaurd with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Miller throws the left hand but Simonsgaurd avoids the punch easily.
Miller scores with a one two! Simonsgaurd had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Simonsgaurd is rocked!
Miller closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Simonsgaurd! Miller dives in looking to finish! Simonsgaurd is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joshua Miller!
Joshua Miller was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
