Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Steel Adams (ranked 1122 p4p, 1488 weight class) and Joanderson Ribeiro (ranked 149 p4p, 193 weight class). Ribeiro is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Tropkillaz-Gorilla. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ribeiro tries for a takedown but Adams sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Adams swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Adams moves into the clinch.
Adams managing to block the knees to the body from Ribeiro.
Adams lands a right hand.
A short right from Adams.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Ribeiro has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Ribeiro tries a knee to the head but Adams blocks it.
Adams lands a left hand.
Ribeiro goes for a takedown attempt but Adams pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Adams darts in and clinches Ribeiro up against the cage.
Adams works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Ribeiro is looking for a takedown.
Steel Adams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joanderson Ribeiro.

A nice right hand lands inside from Adams.

Adams prevents the takedown attempt.
Adams pushes Ribeiro back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Ribeiro jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Adams walks away with a smile on his face. Ribeiro gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Adams moves into the clinch.
Adams lands a right hand.
Adams throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Ribeiros head.
Ribeiro tries for a takedown. No joy.
Ribeiro is trying to stall.
Adams lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Ribeiro.
Adams digs a right hand underneath Ribeiro's ribcage. Ribeiro let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Ribeiro looks winded!
A nice right hand lands inside from Adams.
Adams lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Ribeiro backwards.
Adams scores with a hook to the body.
Adams lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Adams blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Adams unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Ribeiro! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Adams is unloading with more strikes now! Ribeiro drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!

A relieved looking Steel Adams thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
