Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 1, fighting out of London, Willie Dixon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 1, fighting out of London, Stan Man!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Franklyn Lucas and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Man shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dixon's guard.

Dixon has his foot on Man's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Man works his way back into a safe position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Man with a flurry of punches that miss.

Dixon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Man can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Man is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Dixon is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Man is aware though and is defending well.

Dixon is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Dixon is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dixon is looking for a triangle here but Man uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Man works to advance to full mount. Dixon defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Man breaks from Dixon's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Dixon takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Dixon defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Man.
Dixon tries to reverse the position but Man maintains control.

Dixon is in all sorts of trouble here.
Dixon tries to lock up and control but Man gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Man avoids the attempt from Dixon to control.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Dixon sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Man scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Dixon wants to control but Man is keeping busy.

Man lands a couple of digs.
Dixon is trying to keep Man in close.
Man wants to stand but Dixon has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Man trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
We've been hearing good reports from Dixon's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
