Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Samson Buddha (ranked 840 p4p, 700 weight class) and Harry Alonzo Longabaugh (ranked 114 p4p, 98 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Samson Buddha!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Harry Alonzo Longabaugh!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Longabaugh throws a hook to the side of Buddha's head but Buddha sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Longabaugh crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Buddha - the referee stops the clock and Longabaugh gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Buddha. Longabaugh manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Longabaugh uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Buddha has time to react.

Longabaugh lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Buddha circles away quickly and effectively.
Buddha throws a big counter combination but Longabaugh scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

and Longabaugh takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Samson Buddha will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Longabaugh might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Longabaugh takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Longabaugh gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Buddha to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Longabaugh really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Buddha. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Longabaugh felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Longabaugh is looking to regain half guard here but Buddha keeps moving and retains side control.

Harry Alonzo Longabaugh showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Buddha has control of Longabaugh's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Longabaugh regains control of the situation pretty easily.
