And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Arkady Chikovani!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Paulo Santos and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marks cracks Chikovani with a good jab.
Marks scores with a sloppy right hand. Chikovani should have avoided that one.
Chikovani ducks right into an uppercut from Marks.
Marks lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Marks cracks Chikovani with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Chikovani slips under a jab from Marks.
Chikovani is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Marks moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Chikovani moves away from the strike by Marks.
Marks connects with a single shot there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Chikovani takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Chikovani wants to counter the offense by Marks and move into the clinch position.

Marks throws a body punch but Chikovani moves out of range.
Marks misses the shot to the body.
Marks throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Chikovani steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Marks.
Chikovani moves in looking to clinch but Marks pushes him off.
An attempted straight right counter from Marks misses the target.
Chikovani gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Marks.
Chikovani tries to clinch there but Marks circles away.

Marks lands a lovely overhand right.
Marks missing with a left hand there. Chikovani was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Marks is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Marks misses with a hook to the body
and Chikovani counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Chikovani.
A head punch on the inside from Marks fails to land.
Chikovani has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Marks uses from the top position.
Marks avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Marks wants to stand but Chikovani has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Chikovani is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Marks defends well.
Chikovani had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Marks defends it easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Marks wants to stand but Chikovani is controlling his posture from full guard.
Chikovani is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Marks wanted to stand there but Chikovani had control of the position.
Marks has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Chikovani is looking to cinch up a triangle. Marks throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Chikovani's body to avoid the submission. Chikovani has instead reached around Marks's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Chikovani arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
