PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Linkavitch Chomofsky (ranked 226 p4p, 663 weight class) and Beanin Jiet (ranked 29 p4p, 86 weight class). Chomofsky comes to the cage accompanied by Mastodon - Sleeping Giant. Beanin Jiet told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Linkavitch Chomofsky!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Beanin Jiet!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Thiago Cunha and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jiet gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Chomofsky.
Jiet looks to throw the jab but Chomofsky is out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Chomofsky. Jiet does a little dance to reset his feet.
Chomofsky dives in for a single leg takedown but Jiet sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Chomofsky has hold of one of Jiet's legs. Jiet is fighting the takedown attempt but Chomofsky gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Chomofsky accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Jiet moves forwards but Chomofsky connects with a nice, crisp jab.
