Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Make Makkonen!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, BIg Cholo!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Arvi Lind.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cholo misses with a looping left.
Cholo throws a jab but it's blocked by Makkonen.
Makkonen attempts a counter takedown but Cholo avoids it well and moves away.
We've been hearing reports that Makkonen has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Makkonen looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Cholo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Makkonen moves away.
Cholo's corner calls for a 1-2. Cholo obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

It looks like Make Makkonen has been cut.
Cholo swings widly with a right hand
and Makkonen counters with a straight right hand.

Cholo darts in and clinches Makkonen up against the cage.
Cholo struggles to land a body shot inside as Makkonen controls his hands.

Makkonen pulls guard successfully.
Cholo stays in close to Makkonen's body and controls the position.

Makkonen has his foot on Cholo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cholo works his way back into a safe position though.

Cholo decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Makkonen ducks under a wild hook from Cholo.
Cholo misses the jab.
Makkonen attempts a counter takedown but Cholo avoids it well and moves away.
Cholo scores with a body shot.
Makkonen uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Cholo.
Cholo connects with a jab.
Makkonen doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Makkonen takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Makkonen is breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A big right followed by a crushing left from Cholo knocks Makkonen out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!

Make Makkonen was interviewed post fight and said 'All in all, he was better tonight. Maybe i was slightly too confident with my boxing and it did not go that well... I had a perfect camp and preparation, but it is what it is. Congrats brotha, well played!'.
