Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sid Banor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Banor misses.
Green misses with a jab, cross combination.
Banor tries to clinch up.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Banor shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Banor showed some decent athleticism there.
Green is trying to stand up here but Banor is controlling him well.

Banor is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Banor is working for a kimura but Green is defending it quite comfortably.

Banor wants to work for an arm triangle but Green is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Green wants to get back to his feet.
Banor trying to mount his opponent but Green defends it.

Banor looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Green avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Green misses with a jab, cross combination.
Banor throws out a loose jab but Green uses good head movement to avoid it.
Green gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Banor counters by clinching up.

Banor has hold of one of Green's legs. Green is fighting the takedown attempt but Banor gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Banor is breathing heavily.

Banor prevents Green from getting back to his feet.

Banor pushes down on Green's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Banor is looking for a kimura but Green is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Banor to get the leverage.
Green wants to control but Banor is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Banor is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Green kicks Banor off and gets back to his feet.

Banor clinches.
A short body shot lands from Banor as the two fighters clinch.
Banor controlling the action here for a moment.

Green manages to break the clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Banor looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Banor tries for a takedown. No joy.

Green is fighting off a takedown attempt but Banor is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Green to the mat. Green regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Banor moves in looking to clinch but Green pushes him off.
Green misses with a wild combination.
Some wild striking there from Green.
Banor misses with a head kick.
Green keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Green misses with a low kick.
Nice takedown defense from Banor. No joy for Green on that attempt.
Green fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Banor gets the takedown into side control.
Green is pushing Banor's head away, looking to escape. Banor manages to hold on to the position though.

Banor is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Green is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Banor thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Green can't do much from the bottom here.
Green is breathing heavily.

Banor in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Green is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
