Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Balink Tarlah (ranked 4378 p4p, 3994 weight class) and Gaultier Girard (ranked 473 p4p, 441 weight class). Gaultier Girard will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Girard tries for a takedown but Tarlah sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Girard drops his hands momentarily and Tarlah takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Girard fails with the takedown.
Girard is looking to clinch.
Girard uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Tarlah.
Tarlah throws a lazy right hand but Girard sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Balink Tarlah seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Tarlah has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Girard is trying to keep an underhook but Tarlah manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Girard really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tarlah. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Tarlah connects with a nice short shot to Girard's temple.

Girard is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Tarlah looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Tarlah has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Tarlah winds up and cracks Girard with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Girard can do anything to dispel that myth.
