Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kugus Amiga (ranked 23843 p4p, 23847 weight class) and Clifford Val Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Salvacion has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Clifford Val Salvacion told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 34 - 27 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kugus Amiga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 48 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clifford Val Salvacion!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Salvacion scores with a takedown into Amiga's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Amiga has control of Salvacion's left arm, preventing Salvacion from doing any damage.
Salvacion is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Amiga seems keen to control Salvacion's posture.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Amiga bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Salvacion's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Salvacion is concentrating on defense, preventing Amiga from advancing position.

Amiga dives in for a single leg takedown but Salvacion sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Amiga throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Salvacion tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Amiga is in Salvacion's guard.
Amiga seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Salvacion shoots in looking for a takedown but Amiga manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Salvacion's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Amiga tried to counter with a leg kick but Salvacion avoided it.

Salvacion steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.

Salvacion takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Salvacion gets caught napping as Amiga dives in and scores a takedown. Salvacion manages to retain guard.

Amiga is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Amiga seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Salvacion for as long as he can get away with.

Amiga closes the distance and clinches up with Salvacion, looking for a takedown. Amiga pushes Salvacion against the cage but Salvacion circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Salvacion follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Amiga shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Amiga seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Amiga, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
