Hayes comes to the cage accompanied by 50cent - I´ll WHIP YA HEAD BOY. Thiago Gonzaga looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hayes throws an overhand right that lands on Gonzaga's shoulder, as Gonzaga tries to avoid the shot.
Gonzaga shoots in looking for a takedown. Hayes tries to sprawl out of it but Gonzaga keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hayes manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Gonzaga shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Gonzaga is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Gonzaga is working for a kimura but Hayes is defending it quite comfortably.
Gonzaga looks gassed!
Hayes is trying to stand up here but Gonzaga is controlling him well.

Gonzaga is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hayes defends it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gonzaga is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Hayes wants to get back to his feet.
Gonzaga is looking to advance position but Hayes won't allow it.

Gonzaga is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hayes defends it well.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Gonzaga closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hayes lands a big uppercut and Gonzaga crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Gonzaga looks OK. Hayes waves Gonzaga back to his feet!

It looks like Thiago Gonzaga has been cut.
Thiago Gonzaga seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hayes wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
A nice inside leg kick there by Hayes. That's going to slow Gonzaga down.
Gonzaga seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Hayes shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Gonzaga is backing up but Hayes catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Gonzaga covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Hayes Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
