The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ji Woo bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Myers looks to land a right hand but Ji Woo moved out of range.
Myers misses with a low kick as Ji Woo jumps back.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Myers has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Myers and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Myers has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Myers breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Ji Woo throws a leg kick but Myers checks it.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Myers checks a leg kick.

Ji Woo is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Myers lands a right hand.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Myers.
Ji Woo lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Myers throws a head punch that misses.

Ji Woo is trying to trip Myers. He has hold of a leg but Myers is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Ji Woo persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Ji Woo slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Myers is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Myers is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Ji Woo reverses the position - he's now on top in Myers's guard.

Ji Woo maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Myers could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Ji Woo has cracked it and Myers is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Ji Woo!

Bong Ji Woo decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
