Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Petr Stukov (ranked 1979 p4p, 3770 weight class) and Island Chief (ranked 306 p4p, 493 weight class). Island Chief struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 207.2lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Petr Stukov could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Island Chief's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Petr Stukov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Island Chief!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Franklyn Lucas and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stukov lands a lovely overhand right.
Stukov stuffs the takedown.

Stukov swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Stukov's corner calls for a 1-2. Stukov obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Chief has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Chief shoots in for a double leg but Stukov sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Chief shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Chief showed some decent athleticism there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chief is trying to control. Stukov wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Stukov has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Chief is working away from the top position though.
Stukov manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Chief keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Stukov counters with a crisp right hand that drops Chief! Stukov lets Chief back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Stukov circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Chief to the canvas! Chief doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Stukov keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
