Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ripp Colton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oscar Wylde!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Jorge Garcia and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wylde throws a head kick that Colton semi-blocks.

It looks like Ripp Colton has been cut.

Wylde forces Colton back against the cage and clinches.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Wylde.
Colton jumps guard but Wylde stands there with Colton around his waist. Colton gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Wylde controlling from the top position.
Colton is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wylde has gone for a leg lock! Colton slips out almost immediately though and dives into Wylde's guard.

Wylde wants to control but Colton passes easily into half guard.
Wylde has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Colton is working away from the top position though.

Wylde is wriggling around trying to escape.

Colton has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Wylde is working to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wylde is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Wylde keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Colton content just to control the position here.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Wylde is wriggling around trying to escape.
Wylde wants to hold on but Colton pushes him away.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Wylde has managed to clinch.
Wylde unloads a knee to the mid-section. Colton lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Colton has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Colton prevents a body shot from Wylde.
Colton is trying to pull guard but Wylde turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Colton tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Wylde just stands there and leans against the cage.
Wylde putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Colton in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Colton jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Wylde walks away with a smile on his face. Colton gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ripp Colton. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Wylde rushes Colton and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Wylde lands an elbow that stopped Colton in his tracks for a moment.

Wylde lands an elbow just above Colton 's eye.
Colton's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Wylde tries a knee to the head but Colton blocks it.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Wylde creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Colton drags the fight down to the ground.

Wylde stays in close to Colton's body and controls the position.

Colton has his hands on Wylde's head, controlling the position.

Colton working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wylde doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wylde manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Wylde wants to get up but he can't break Colton's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Colton is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Wylde tries to free his leg and advance position but Colton is retaining full guard.

Colton looking for a triangle here. Wylde is fighting it but it looks tight! Colton pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Wylde is tapping out - this one is all over!
