This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 20 wins and 13 losses; Vasiliy Kulik! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 31 wins and 42 losses; Billy Turturro!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Colin Fotheringham and Donald Grub.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious?
Turturro shoots in but no luck this time.
Kulik clinches with his opponent.
Turturro wants to take the fight to the mat but Kulik manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Kulik has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Turturro uses from the top position.

It looks like Turturro might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Turturro has his foot on Kulik's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kulik works his way back into a safe position though.

Kulik stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Turturro swivels though and keeps the full guard.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Kulik is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Turturro is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
