These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dominick Bess!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Connor Jameson!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bess tries to keep at a distance but Jameson has taken the fight into the clinch.
Jameson keeps control of Bess as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Jameson breaks the clinch.
Jameson with a poor takedown
and Bess counters with a three punch combo that has Jameson backing up. Jameson nods at Bess to acknowledge the strikes.
Bess ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Jameson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bess was well out of range. Poor timing from Jameson.
Jameson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bess defends it nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bess definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Dominick Bess has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Connor Jameson.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Bess really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Jameson breaks the clinch.

Jameson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Jameson has a takedown stuffed.
Jameson takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Bess lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Jameson backs up against the cage.
A right-left combo lands from Bess.
Bess displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

and Bess counters with a crisp one two that drops Jameson! Bess thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Jameson to his feet! Jameson is in big trouble!
Jameson is still on wobbly legs! Can Bess finish him?
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jameson tries to clinch but Bess moves out of range.
Jameson takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

and Bess counters with a left to the body.
Jameson looks winded!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jameson gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Bess gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dominick Bess!
During a confident post fight interview, Dominick Bess thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
