Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Franz Ramos!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brock Lesnar!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lesnar slips a straight right by Ramos.
Franz Ramos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lesnar keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Ramos.
Ramos throws a nice looking combination but Lesnar bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Lesnar dives in and grabs Ramos's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ramos pushes down on Lesnar's head and hops out.
Lesnar shoots for a double leg takedown but Ramos sprawls well. He's pushed Lesnar's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Ramos throws a big shot that misses.
Lesnar feints the counter takedown.
Ramos connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

It looks like Brock Lesnar has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lesnar dives in for a single leg takedown but Ramos sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Ramos was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Franz Ramos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brock Lesnar.
Lesnar slips under a jab.
A left lands for Ramos.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ramos. Lesnar does a little dance to reset his feet.
Lesnar is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Ramos with a body shot.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ramos throws a hook to the side of Lesnar's head but Lesnar sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A little jabbing left from Lesnar on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Ramos stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ramos wants it to stay on the feet.
Ramos throws a left and a right that both miss
enabling Lesnar to counter with a crisp jab.

Lesnar shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ramos napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Ramos tries to bench press Lesnar off him but Lesnar keeps the position.
Ramos misses with an elbow from the bottom.

Lesnar is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Ramos is trying to escape and Lesnar transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Ramos is forced to tap! Nice work there by Lesnar! Very nice indeed!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Brock Lesnar! Brock Lesnar retains his heavyweight title!
