Coming up we have a welterweight kickboxing rules bout between Ubaldo Cortez (ranked 2389 p4p, 3360 weight class) and Gaizka Elizondo (ranked 315 p4p, 408 weight class). Elizondo has chosen Peewee Longway & Money Man - Ooowwweee as his entrance music. Ubaldo Cortez has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Elizondo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Elizondo lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Cortez has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Cortez and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
As Elizondo backs away, Cortez returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Elizondo has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Cortez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Elizondo manages to avoid it.

Elizondo fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Cortez has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ubaldo Cortez.
