Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bedgars Trimms (ranked 1666 p4p, 2000 weight class) and Mackin Hooez (ranked 146 p4p, 171 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Trimms misses the target.
Hooez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Trimms connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Hooez's hands.
Trimms swings for the body but Hooez moves out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Trimms. Hooez does a little dance to reset his feet.
Hooez uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Trimms.
Hooez feints the counter takedown.
Trimms fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hooez manages to avoid it.

Trimms darts in and clinches Hooez up against the cage.

Hooez has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Trimms uses from the top position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Trimms trying to hold on to Hooez's head to control him but Hooez postures up.
Hooez uses his free foot to push down on Trimms's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Trimms.
Mackin Hooez has got the better of the ground game so far.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bedgars Trimms will probably get the nod.

Trimms got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hooez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Trimms has managed to get both his arms back between Hooez's legs - danger averted.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Trimms, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
