The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magomedov bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Lingfield closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Magomedov is looking to reverse the position.
Lingfield tries to move to mount but Magomedov blocks the move with his legs.
Magomedov tries to buck Lingfield off but Lingfield is having none of it.
Lingfield tries to advance to mount but can't.
Lingfield wants to lay and pray for a moment but Magomedov keeps working.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lingfield tries to move to full mount but Magomedov actually manages to regain half guard.

Lingfield content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Lingfield loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Magomedov is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lingfield defends well.

Lingfield content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Magomedov has locked up a guillotine! Magomedov's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Lingfield is holding on here and Magomedov must be using up a lot of energy. Lingfield has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Magomedov gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
