Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bjorn Asby (ranked 5657 p4p, 24969 weight class) and Lyle Holland (ranked 559 p4p, 596 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Asby shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Holland sprawls well. Holland wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Asby gets slowly back to his feet.

Asby changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Holland tries to avoid it but Asby manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Holland to the ground. Holland escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

We've been hearing good reports from Asby's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Holland creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Holland turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Holland manages to end up in side control.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Holland drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Asby gets the underhooks and prevents it.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Holland moves into range and connects with a jab.

Asby shoots in looking for a takedown. Holland tries to sprawl out of it but Asby keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Holland manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Holland smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Holland has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Holland is pushing down on Asby's leg trying to pass to half guard. Asby is fighting to maintain full guard but Holland has managed to sneak the leg through.
Oh Asby is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
and Holland counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Asby! He's just covering up as Holland starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
