The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karelin on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Reinhardt throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Reinhardt drives through and clinches with Karelin against the cage.
Reinhardt has had enough of the clinch but Karelin keeps him there for the moment.
Reinhardt tries to break free but Karelin pushes him back against the cage.
Reinhardt lands a body punch in the clinch.

Reinhardt's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Reinhardt lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Karelin backs up against the cage.
Reinhardt connects with a right hand. Karelin shakes it off.
Reinhardt throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Reinhardt lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Reinhardt fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Karelin, pushing him back against the cage.
Reinhardt is leaning against Karelin and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
A short body shot lands from Reinhardt as the two fighters clinch.

Karelin takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Reinhardt lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Reinhardt.
Reinhardt seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Karelin takes a kick to the side of the head.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Reinhardt tries to clinch but Karelin is having none of it.
