Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nils Norling (ranked 1170 p4p, 1976 weight class) and George Pierre (ranked 156 p4p, 267 weight class). Norling comes into the arena with Eminem - Go To Sleep blaring out of the sound system. Pierre has chosen O Canada as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, George Pierre!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Paul Tew and Steven Brown.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pierre throws a hook to the side of Norling's head but Norling sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
As Pierre backs away, Norling returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Pierre closes the distance and pushes Norling back into the cage.
Pierre makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Norling feints and then cracks Pierre's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Pierre down.

and Norling counters with a nice right hand that sends Pierre toppling to the canvas! Pierre scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Norling finish him?!

That has opened up George Pierre's cut even more.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

In his post fight interview, Nils Norling started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
