Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Klay Dee (ranked 2233 p4p, 2649 weight class) and Patrick Slinger (ranked 149 p4p, 171 weight class). Dee comes to the cage accompanied by Death Patrol by Destroyer. Slinger has chosen Hail Mary as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Patrick Slinger!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Paul Tew and James Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Dee.
Slinger fails to land the takedown.
Dee is looking for a counter combo.

Slinger's coach down at Crapollas Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Slinger's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Dee cracks Slinger with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Horrible takedown attempt by Slinger or perhaps it was just good defense by Dee, which made it look bad.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Slinger has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Dee is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Slinger.

Dee gets to his feet. Slinger looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Slinger throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dee was covering up waiting for the punch and Slinger finishes the takedown easily into guard.

As Slinger looks to move away, Dee throws a big counter combo but Slinger just gets out of the way.

Slinger dives in and grabs Dee's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dee pushes down on Slinger's head and hops out.

Dee wants to get up but he can't break Slinger's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Slinger throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Dee escapes and throws Slinger's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Slinger can't do much from the bottom here.
