Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Viktor Spopovich (ranked 5892 p4p, 5402 weight class) and Kostya Stupin (ranked 224 p4p, 213 weight class). Viktor Spopovich has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stupin moves into the clinch.
Spopovich tries to pull guard but Stupin forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Stupin successfully pulls guard.
Spopovich advances to half guard.
Stupin has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Cozad MMA Montreal. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Spopovich stalling away here and it's allowed Stupin to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Stupin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Stupin decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nice sprawl there from Spopovich as Stupin shoots in.
Spopovich throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Stupin looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Spopovich tries to close the distance and clinch up but Stupin swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Stupin shapes to counter with a head kick.
Spopovich has been working on his balance at Cozad MMA Helsinki, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Stupin.
Spopovich wants to clinch but Stupin slips to the side
and Stupin counters with a monster head kick that knocks Spopovich out cold! He topples like fallen a tree, crashing to the mat! Timbeeeeeerrr!
