Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Josh Wilkinson (ranked 1541 p4p, 859 weight class) and Ron Schultz (ranked 239 p4p, 130 weight class). Wilkinson comes to the cage accompanied by The Who - Eminence front. Schultz has chosen Enter Shikari - Sorry You're Not A Winner as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Ron Schultz!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schultz lands with a nice combination. Wilkinson backs away looking to recover.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Wilkinson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Schultz to the ground. Wilkinson is now in Schultz's guard.
Schultz wants to stand but Wilkinson is controlling the position.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Schultz can do anything to dispel that myth.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Schultz has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Wilkinson is on him like a limpet, forcing Schultz back against the cage.

Ron Schultz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Schultz rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Wilkinson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Schultz lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Wilkinson to his knees! Schultz keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

In his post fight interview, Ron Schultz started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
