Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Josh Wilkinson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jake Muhmoney!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Daniel Franklin and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilkinson misses with a takedown attempt
and Muhmoney counters with a stiff right hand.
Muhmoney slips a jab and a cross from Wilkinson.
Wilkinson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Muhmoney napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Wilkinson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Muhmoney has escaped the position, nice work there.
Wilkinson is trying to get an arm triangle but Muhmoney is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Muhmoney is trying to work for a sweep but Wilkinson has mounted him!
Wilkinson is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Muhmoney can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Muhmoney keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Muhmoney is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Wilkinson has taken his back.
Muhmoney looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Wilkinson has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Muhmoney has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Muhmoney can't escape the position.
Wilkinson is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Muhmoney has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Muhmoney tries to roll but Wilkinson sticks to his back.
Wilkinson is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Muhmoney won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Wilkinson off his unconscious opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Josh Wilkinson!
