Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Peter Andre (ranked 4116 p4p, 4698 weight class) and Jason McMelon (ranked 501 p4p, 534 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Peter Andre!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason McMelon!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Bruno Lombardi and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andre lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
McMelon wants to clinch up but Andre keeps it at a distance.
McMelon keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Jab, jab by Andre - just one landing.
No joy there for Andre, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

McMelon takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

McMelon tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Andre manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

and McMelon counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Andre is lucky that one didn't land flush.

and Andre cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

The crowd cheers as Andre lands an impressive looking overhand right. McMelon doesn't seem phased though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

McMelon dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Andre. That did some damage!

Andre feints a jab promting McMelon to slip. Andre then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. McMelon slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
McMelon fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Andre manages to avoid it.

Andre wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Andre lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! McMelon goes down and covers up as Andre starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Peter Andre!
After winning the bout, Peter Andre thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
