Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Klaus Manfred!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lane Prilla!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prilla misses with a right hand
and Manfred counters with a nice body shot.
Manfred drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Prilla is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Manfred connects with a couple of short punches.

Manfred has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Prilla feints and then cracks Manfred's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Manfred down.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Prilla throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Manfred stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Manfred lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Prilla has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Prilla and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Manfred seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Prilla for as long as he can get away with.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Manfred is nestled in close to Prilla, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

As Prilla backs away, Manfred returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Prilla uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Manfred.
Manfred throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Prilla's waist but Prilla gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Manfred off to one side.

Prilla tries to clinch but Manfred is having none of it.
Manfred fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Prilla manages to avoid it.

Prilla's coach down at Raptors Den MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Prilla's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Manfred stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Prilla.
Manfred feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Prilla is looking to stand back up but Manfred counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Prilla.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Manfred in particular looking to stall.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Manfred connects with a nice short shot to Prilla's temple.
Manfred passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Prilla!

Manfred postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Prilla badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Manfred around the waist but Manfred pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Manfred is the winner by TKO! Manfred jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 8:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Klaus Manfred!
During a confident post fight interview, Klaus Manfred thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
