Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nikolay Pletnev (ranked 4963 p4p, 856 weight class) and Jasper Leeuwenhoek (ranked 0 p4p, 118 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pletnev throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
And Leeuwenhoek tries to counter it with a takedown but Pletnev pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Pletnev misses with a hook. Leeuwenhoek ducked under it nicely.
Leeuwenhoek fails with a takedown attempt.
Pletnev displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Leeuwenhoek throws out the jab.
Pletnev lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Leeuwenhoek looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Pletnev throws a hook but Leeuwenhoek avoids it easily.

Pletnev throws out a loose jab but Leeuwenhoek uses good head movement to avoid it.
Nikolay Pletnev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Leeuwenhoek misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Leeuwenhoek looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pletnev is fending him off so far but Leeuwenhoek persists. Nope, Pletnev circles away and we're back to standing.
Nikolay Pletnev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jasper Leeuwenhoek.

Pletnev is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Leeuwenhoek is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Pletnev has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Leeuwenhoek has got one arm under Pletnev's chin. This could be trouble... Pletnev trying to control the other hand but Leeuwenhoek gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Pletnev has tapped out! The fight is over!
