Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Billy Cobb (ranked 850 p4p, 973 weight class) and Mehmet Shakaromanov (ranked 117 p4p, 134 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shakaromanov connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Cobb's hands.

Shakaromanov lands with a hook. Cobb tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
We've been told by Cobb's head coaches at Doom's Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Cobb throws a lazy right hand but Shakaromanov sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Oh Cobb is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cobb is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Shakaromanov drops Cobb with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Cobb looks back up at him and smiles so Shakaromanov waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

and Shakaromanov counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Cobb out cold! What a finish! Shakaromanov is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
