Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Boxing Trainer (ranked 2842 p4p, 3245 weight class) and Mister Eko (ranked 432 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Boxing Trainer has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mister Eko!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Bart Greer and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Eko rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Trainer counters with a left to the body.

Eko throws a big shot that misses.
Trainer is looking for a counter combo.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Trainer went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Eko wants to free his trapped foot but Trainer is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Eko thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Trainer's head.
Eko lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Eko winds up and cracks Trainer with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Eko throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Mister Eko has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Boxing Trainer is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Eko lands a nice short elbow.

And that's the end of the fight!
Boxing Trainer showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Trainer, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
