Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rimtas Kentas (ranked 70 p4p, 257 weight class) and Rockwell Mcgee (ranked 11 p4p, 42 weight class). Mcgee has chosen No More Hot Dogs as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rimtas Kentas!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rockwell Mcgee!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcgee connects with a looping right hand.
Kentas tries to clinch but Mcgee moves away
and Mcgee counters with a left to the body.
Kentas misses with a looping left.
Kentas lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

It looks like Rockwell Mcgee has been cut.
Kentas misses with a looping left.
Kentas ducks under a wild hook from Mcgee.
Kentas half committed to a counter leg kick.
A jab from Kentas finds it's way through Mcgee's defenses.
Mcgee throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kentas dives in for a single leg takedown but Mcgee sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Kentas lands a hook that snaps the head of Mcgee backwards.
Mcgee takes a shot to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mcgee blocking some punches.
Kentas works on Mcgee's body with a couple of short punches.
Nice body punch from Kentas - that landed with a thud.
Kentas lands with a right to the head.

Kentas misses with a body punch.
Mcgee scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Mcgee lands an uppercut.
Kentas lands a right hand that snaps the head of Mcgee backwards.
Mcgee misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Kentas.
A nice right hand lands inside from Kentas.
Kentas blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Kentas lands a takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Mcgee is looking to stand back up but Kentas counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Mcgee.
Mcgee pushes Kentas off looking to stand but Kentas dives back in and keeps control.
Mcgee is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Kentas wants to pass to mount but Mcgee is defending the position.

Kentas is looking for a kimura here.
Mcgee is trying to stand.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Kentas seems to be working for a kimura but Mcgee defends the submission attempt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kentas with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Mcgee tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Kentas manages to move to mount!
Mcgee's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Kentas looking to control and managing it successfully.
Mcgee is trying to stand up.
Kentas takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Kentas is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Mcgee is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Kentas tries to control but Mcgee wriggling away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Kentas working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mcgee is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Kentas has taken his back!

Kentas looking for the choke from the back.
Mcgee is trying to get back to his feet but Kentas has full control of the position and if anything, Mcgee has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Kentas is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Mcgee has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Kentas has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Mcgee taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Kentas doesn't care though - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Rimtas Kentas!

Our winner, Rimtas Kentas, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
