PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carlton Draught (ranked 2610 p4p, 1739 weight class) and Aimo Surakka (ranked 321 p4p, 216 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Draught might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to JACKEDANDSTACKEDMASSMONSTER. Aimo Surakka told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Aimo Surakka!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Draught throws a nice looking combination but Surakka bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Carlton Draught seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Draught shoots in but no luck this time.
Surakka keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

It looks like Carlton Draught has been cut.
Surakka lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Draught dives in and grabs Surakka's left leg, looking for a takedown. Surakka pushes down on Draught's head and hops out.

Surakka is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Surakka is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Draught moves into full mount! Surakka won't be happy about that!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Surakka stuns Draught with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
