Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Musa Vitalik (ranked 1486 p4p, 1272 weight class) and Pyay Thuta (ranked 245 p4p, 212 weight class). Vitalik comes to the cage accompanied by Planet Purge - Midnight Tyrannosaurus & Ehide. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Musa Vitalik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pyay Thuta!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Anni Minnemäki and Ben Zyskovitsi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vitalik throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
A shot to the liver by Thuta. Beautiful body shot.
Sloppy strikes from Vitalik. Those never looked like landing.
Thuta scores with a kick to the midsection.
Thuta showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Vitalik.
Thuta steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Vitalik.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Thuta! But no joy.
Vitalik shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Thuta pinned against the cage. Thuta gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Thuta lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Vitalik has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Vitalik comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Thuta lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Musa Vitalik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Vitalik is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Thuta's half guard.

Thuta felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Thuta has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Vitalik is working away from the top position though.

Thuta is staying active underneath Vitalik, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Vitalik slips a nice elbow through Thuta's hands, connecting with Thuta's forehead.

Thuta is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Vitalik's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Vitalik's back!

Vitalik ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Thuta moves away.
Thuta lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Vitalik throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Vitalik walks into a left hand.
A slapping leg kick lands for Thuta.

Thuta feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Vitalik sprawling to the canvas! Vitalik rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Thuta finish him?!

Vitalik is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Thuta measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Vitalik! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!

A very excited looking Pyay Thuta made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
