Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Daruis Marcus (ranked 4117 p4p, 3453 weight class) and Dylan Toal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daruis Marcus has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Daruis Marcus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dylan Toal!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Joseph Jones and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Toal stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Toal wants it to stay on the feet.
Toal moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Dylan Toal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Toal throws a right and a left that both miss.

Marcus dives in and scores a takedown into Toal's guard.
Marcus lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Marcus wants to control from the top but Toal keeps moving.

Toal felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Toal tries to kick Marcus off but Marcus keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Marcus just misses with a elbow thrown towards Toal's brow.

Toal looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Toal fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Marcus looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Toal is fending him off so far but Marcus persists. Nope, Toal circles away and we're back to standing.

Marcus buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Toal rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Marcus moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Marcus jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Toal walks away with a smile on his face. Marcus gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Marcus shoots for a double leg takedown but Toal sprawls well. He's pushed Marcus's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Toal has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Marcus stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Toal swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Toal manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Marcus is trying to maintain a safe position but Toal gets an underhook and turns Marcus into the cage.

Dylan Toal showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Horrible takedown attempt by Marcus or perhaps it was just good defense by Toal, which made it look bad.

I would just about give that final round to Dylan Toal.
I've got Toal winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
