Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jamie Top (ranked 4376 p4p, 4592 weight class) and Itzik HaKotesh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jamie Top!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Itzik HaKotesh!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Valeri Chadov and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

HaKotesh bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Top explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Top misses with a body shot.
Top throws a sloppy head kick and HaKotesh moves out of range easily.
Top dives in and grabs HaKotesh's left leg, looking for a takedown. HaKotesh pushes down on Top's head and hops out.
HaKotesh tries to counter with a clinch but Top shakes him off and moves away.
Top fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Top misses with a body shot.
HaKotesh steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Top.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

HaKotesh gets a double leg takedown into Top's guard.
HaKotesh working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Top's head.
HaKotesh is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Top wants to sweep but no luck.
HaKotesh prevents Top from getting back to his feet.

HaKotesh is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Top is working an open guard so HaKotesh takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Top throws the kick towards the body but HaKotesh avoids it.
Good work by HaKotesh as he checks the leg kick.
Top wants to clinch up but HaKotesh keeps it at a distance.

Top gets in close and instigates a clinch.
HaKotesh keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Top's efforts to push away.
HaKotesh drops down looking for an ankle pick but Top pulls his leg out and moves away.
A head kick misses from HaKotesh.

HaKotesh gets the takedown into side control.
Top tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
HaKotesh takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
HaKotesh postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Top looks a forlorn figure.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Top is in a horrible position here. HaKotesh smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
HaKotesh lands a couple of good shots and Top has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Top is holding onto HaKotesh's left hand, preventing any choke attempts.
Top knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for HaKotesh on the ground.
A bit of a pause in the action here. HaKotesh controlling the positon.
Top tries to roll but HaKotesh sticks to his back.

Top is taking damage to the body and head.
HaKotesh has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Top manages to reverse the position and now he's in HaKotesh's guard. Nice work there by Top.

HaKotesh scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Top gets caught flat footed, as HaKotesh shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The fighters are working up against the cage. Top manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
HaKotesh misses with a hook to the ribs.

HaKotesh manages to break the clinch.

HaKotesh fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Top, pushing him back against the cage.
HaKotesh lands a right hand that snaps the head of Top backwards.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
HaKotesh is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Itzik HaKotesh dominated that round.
That's time! Top's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

HaKotesh keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Top has closed the distance and engaged HaKotesh in a clinch.
HaKotesh tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Top just stands there and leans against the cage.

HaKotesh breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
HaKotesh looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Top fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. HaKotesh looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Top misses with a series of wild punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Top enables HaKotesh to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Top manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Top keeping moving, preventing HaKotesh from controlling successfully.

Top is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

HaKotesh wants to control but Top is keeping busy.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if HaKotesh can do anything to dispel that myth.
HaKotesh is pressing down on Top's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

HaKotesh is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Top trying to control the position from guard on top but HaKotesh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
HaKotesh looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Top has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Top loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

HaKotesh keeping moving, preventing Top from controlling successfully.
HaKotesh has control of Top's left arm, preventing Top from doing any damage.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Itzik HaKotesh has got the better of the ground game so far.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Top lands a nice hook to HaKotesh's body. HaKotesh takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Top fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Top tries to clinch but HaKotesh moves away
and HaKotesh connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Top really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
HaKotesh tries for a takedown but Top manages to get underhooks.

Top wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
HaKotesh prevents Top from breaking the clinch.

Top is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

HaKotesh decides to pull guard.
HaKotesh not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
HaKotesh manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Top manages to get himself to full guard.

HaKotesh slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Top looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Itzik HaKotesh will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Top's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

HaKotesh throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Top on the side of the head.
Some wild striking there from Top.
HaKotesh throws a counter combo.
Top avoids the body shot from HaKotesh.

HaKotesh fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Top to the ground. HaKotesh is now in Top's guard.
Top is wriggling around but HaKotesh manages to pass to half guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. HaKotesh connects with a nice short shot to Top's temple.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
HaKotesh perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
HaKotesh prevents Top from standing back up.

HaKotesh is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
HaKotesh seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Top misses with a few strikes there.

HaKotesh instigates a clinch.

Top wants to break the clinch but can't.

HaKotesh breaks the clinch.

HaKotesh closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Top is looking for a sweep. HaKotesh is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
HaKotesh looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Top with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
HaKotesh is thwarting Top's attempts to control the position.
HaKotesh takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
HaKotesh looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Top with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
HaKotesh moves into full mount! Top won't be happy about that!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

HaKotesh looking for a guillotine from mount but Top is having none of it.

Top taking shots to the head.
Top has given up his back here.
HaKotesh cracks Top with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Top from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

Top is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

HaKotesh looking for the choke but no joy.

HaKotesh has got one arm under Top's chin. This could be trouble... Top trying to control the other hand but HaKotesh gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Top has tapped out! The fight is over!
